| About Me |
John Saar Properties Central Office |
I’m lucky enough to say Carmel has been home for me since I was a child. College, career and family have taken me elsewhere over the years, but as a third generation resident my deep roots and all the peninsula’s wonders brought me back home. Growing up here has given me an intimate knowledge of the area and a network of contacts throughout the Monterey Peninsula that I can leverage on behalf of my clients.
Benefits to you: Understanding the differences in each of the peninsula’s communities - their unique personalities and even microclimates - allows me to assist you in your efforts to find a home by presenting choices that fit well with how you live. If you’re selling a home, it enables me to more effectively market the experience of living in your home on top of its features and benefits.
Prior to starting my career in real estate, I spent 12 years in Sales and Marketing with Hewlett-Packard where I was fortunate enough to benefit from one of the most extensive, professional training and development programs in the industry. HP’s superior focus on customer needs taught me to think imaginatively, act decisively and deliver timely results.
Benefits to you: Successfully completing a home sale or purchase transaction requires understanding and effective management of the process and all its details. My career experience and training has given me those skills and enables me to bring an aptitude for informed problem solving which gets you to your goal quicker and more seamlessly.
I earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
Benefits to you: That education combined with my hands on experience in Marketing allows me to help clients who are selling their home to stand out above the rest. How? By emphasizing the experience and emotion that makes your home desirable rather than simply price and utility. Creativity and out of the box thinking is what I apply to all my marketing campaigns.
I hold a Real Estate Broker’s License from the State of California. Achieving that higher level of certification over a standard agent’s license required the successful completion of college level courses in: Real Estate Finance, Real Estate Law, Real Estate Appraisal, Economics, Accounting, Ethics and several others.
Benefits to you: That deeper level of education and knowledge enables me to better understand the market dynamics and the intricacies of any real estate transaction. It also helps me to develop solutions which not only best protect you and your investment, but deliver the best possible results.
At my 10 year class reunion from Carmel High, I was reunited with a childhood friend who became my husband a year later. Over the last 20 years we have followed our dual careers across the U.S. living in several different cities across 5 states. That journey also included the buying and selling of several homes.
Benefits to you: I understand from personal experience (and from some realtors that didn’t get it) that buying or selling a home has a big impact beyond the transaction or the physical move. A home is more than the physical dwelling, it’s also your connection to its surroundings and services like schools, doctors, professional services, etc. I’m committed to helping you make your new house and community a home by leveraging my contacts and knowledge of the area to ease the transition.
On a personal note, the joy I receive from watching my two boys develop into dynamic young men is immeasurable. My husband and I cherish the opportunity to have them attend the same schools that we did in hopes that they too can build friendships that are lifelong. With whatever time is leftover I enjoy being creative. Being the daughter of two artists, I have an inherent eye for color and aesthetics. I love to do interior design, color consultation, faux painting, staging, and yes, even remodeling which my husband and I do together. I also enjoy creating in the garden as it is where I lose myself. The beach and nature are my other loves. Our family is known for initiating impromptu beach parties where we roast hot dogs gather with friends and celebrate how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place.
I look forward to the opportunity to get to know you better. I fully understand that helping you buy or sell a home is a privilege and I will embrace it with respect, loyalty and trust.
Sincerely,
Linda
